Orlando offers an incredibly wide range of attractions, including the world-famous Walt Disney World and many other theme parks and opportunities for entertainment. With so many things to choose from, it can be difficult to narrow down a to-do list for your vacation. To give you a good starting point, here’s our list of the best things to do in Orlando.
Universal’s Island Of Adventure
Universal’s Island of Adventure caters to all age groups and has so much fun on offer. You’ll find everything from rollercoasters and themed rides to live-action stunts for the kids.
One of our favorite things about Universal’s Island of Adventure is the immersive experience. Using virtual reality, they’ll place you right in the center of your favorite movie! You can pop into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, or even Marvel’s Superhero Island.
Aquatica Park
Aquatica Park is one of the best water parks in Orlando. It’s right next to SeaWorld but has a few more unique attractions to offer.
Our favorite is the Dolphin Plunge, where you slide through an enclosed water slide that transports you through a pool full of dolphins!
Legoland Florida
If you’ve got kids, Legoland is the place to be during your vacation! Most of the rides are geared towards kids ages 2 to 12, but it’s fun as an adult, too.
There are roller coasters, huge models made out of Lego, and loads of shows and performances. The most popular rides among kids are the Dragon roller coaster, the Safari Trek, and the fairground-style rides.
There’s a Legoland water park right next door, so if you’re feeling warm throughout the day, pop on over!
Watch The Blue Man Group
The Blue Man Group is a group of performers known for their comedy, theater, rock, and dance performances. You can find them at the Universal Orlando Resort.
Expect to be asked to participate as an audience member! This group of talented performers enjoys interacting with the crowd, which we absolutely love.
Blue Spring State Park
Blue Spring State Park is a mesmerizing park that spans 2600 acres of land. It includes the largest spring on the St. John river. The water is crystal clear and super warm, making it the perfect place to go for a dip during the swimming season.
You’ll see some animals during your visit, including tropical birds, turtles, and squirrels.
Church Street
Church Street is home to some of the best restaurants in Orlando. This is also where you’ll find bustling nightlife and the iconic Railroad Depot.
If you’re a first-timer looking to get to know the downtown area, we highly recommend that you check out Church Street. It was built in 1889 and serves as a reminder of what the town was before Disney and Universal.
Cornell Fine Arts Museum
The Cornell Fine Arts Museum is perfect for those looking for a quiet outing. It offers more than 5000 exhibits and overlooks the stunning Lake Georgia. We loved visiting this museum to spend some time admiring the art as an escape from the busy city.
Visit Lake Eola Park
Lake Eola Park is a public park in downtown Orlando, with the lake being the main feature. We highly recommend renting one of the swan-shaped paddle boats to explore the water and feed the swans in the area.
The park is also home to the Walt Disney Amphitheatre, where you can catch a concert or play. Then grab a delicious bite to eat at the Relax Grill. It’s a charming spot offering American Mediterranean cuisine – there’s something for everyone! We love their homemade hummus, so be sure to add some to your meal.
