How popular is Taylor Swift right now?
A travel agency is running a fan sponsored Taylor Swift cruise, as reported by our sister publication TravelAge West.
Marvelous Mouse travel advisors told TravelAge West that the cruise is not affiliated with Taylor Swift or TASRM Publishing label.
So it’s not affiliated with the singer...It’s not sanctioned by her handlers...She won’t event be onboard.
Still, the demand is there.
There is already a wait list even though the cruise is not scheduled until October of next year. The four-night cruise is expected to set sail on October 21, 2024, aboard Royal Caribbeans Allure of the Seas. The cruise will depart from the port of Miami.
There’s no doubt her worldwide popularity is sky high right now. So popular, in fact, that it’s a surprise that something like a cruise line hasn’t tried to cash in on booking the superstar onboard a ship during her billion dollar Eras tour.
Imagine for a second that a cruise line had Taylor Swift onboard for a show. They could easily triple or quadruple fares and people would still pay it. The "Swifties" are strong.
Travelers will no doubt still settle for the fan inspired cruise.
Even though she won’t be there, the trip will include Taylor Swift-themed activities that include the trading of her famous friendship bracelets.
Fares for cabins currently cost about $1,600 to $2,100. Those prices are based on two guests per room. They could increase based on availability. Like any cruise, it does not include gratuities or add-ons or airfare.
More information, including how to join the wait list, can be found on the event's Facebook page.
