2023 Travvy Awards: The Best Hotels & Resorts Around the World

Travel advisors have chosen the best of the best for their favorite hotels and resorts for our 2023 Travvy Awards. The categories range from the best hotel or resort in a specific region to the best hotel or resort chain of the year. Like the Olympics, our awards offer gold, silver and bronze medals to the best of the best.

The best honeymoon hotel or resort in the Caribbean is the Majestic Resorts Elegance Punta Cana, with gold. With silver is the Sanctuary Cap Cana, while Jade Mountain, St. Lucia earned bronze.

The year's best honeymoon hotel or resort in Mexico is the Impression Moxché by Secrets, which earned first place. In second is the Majestic Resorts Elegance Costa Mujeres, while the third place was awarded to El Dorado Maroma, by Karisma.

Travel advisors voted the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea as the best honeymoon hotel or resort in the United States, earning the resort a gold Travvy award. Earning silver is the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, while the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island earned bronze.

The year's best all-inclusive hotel chain is Sandals Resorts, in first place. In second is the Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt, while Karisma Hotels & Resorts earned third place.

The year's best hotel chain overall is Sandals Resorts, which earned gold this year. Marriott International follows with silver, while Playa Hotels & Resorts earned bronze.

The best luxury hotel or resort in the Caribbean is Jade Mountain, St. Lucia, in first place. In second is the Four Seasons Resort Anguilla. Third place was awarded to Sanctuary Cap Cana.

The best luxury hotel or resort in Central and South America in 2023 is the Illa Experience Hotel, which earned gold. The Itz-ana Belize was voted into second place, while the Nayara Tented Camp Costa Rica earned third place.

Travel advisors voted the Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun as the best luxury hotel or resort in Mexico this year. Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos earned silver, while La Casa de La Playa earned bronze.

The best luxury hotel or resort in the U.S. this year is the Four Seasons Hualalai, with gold. The Bellagio Las Vegas earned silver, while bronze was awarded to the Mandarin Oriental New York.

The best spa and wellness resort of the year is the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, which earned gold. The Banyan Tree Phuket Thailand earned silver, while bronze went to La Casa de La Playa.
