The DSWD said it is looking for the birth mother, father and relatives of the male child, who at birth was given by his birth mother to childless Filipino Muslim couple Usman Sagal Amin and Noriah Maguindalat Pangansayan.

“The child, who is now 12, is still in the United Arab Emirates and could only be repatriated if it is proven to be Filipino,” he said in a statement Wednesday.

“DSWD asks the biological mother / father to report to the International Office of Social Services (ISSO) or Program Management Office (PMB) at the DSWD central office in Batasan or the nearest DSWD regional office so that ‘they can be assisted in undergoing DNA extraction and other procedures to pave the way for the child’s repatriation.

He urged the child’s parents and relatives to call the DSWD-PMB office at 8-931-9141 or send an email to [email protected]
