Las Vegas is jam packed with so many things to offer travelers.

From casinos to bars to fine dining and adventurous activities, Las Vegas is a haven for fun and feasts alike.

Whether you have 48 hours or an entire week, it will be a challenge to hit all the amazing wonders Las Vegas has available. Your wallet, and stomach, might run into some difficulties if you were to try and hit everything. That’s the beauty of being in a destination where entertainment abounds seemingly everywhere. There’s always something fun no matter how many times you visit.

It’s hard to pick a favorite spot, but here are few highlights of Las Vegas that stand out for foodie lovers and those seeking big thrills.

Where to Eat and Drink Around Las Vegas Strip

The dining spots around the Las Vegas Strip cater to travelers of all types.

One way to hit multiple spots is through the Lip Smacking Foodie Tours offerings. We ventured on the afternoon culinary adventure tour, which had us eating light bites at four different high end restaurants at iconic hotels. The walking tour lasted around two and a half hours, with stops at the Venetian Resort, the Palazzo and the Wynn. Our guide, Paul, was extremely well knowledgeable about the various casinos and restaurants.

Lip Smacking Foodie Tours does offer private tours for those who don’t want to join in on walking and dining with strangers.

AREA 15 is another spot foodies need to put on their Las Vegas must do list. The Beast has the classic American pub fare like burgers, nachos, pizza, wings and more. Kaia Handroll packs the flavor with delicious sushi and poke.

We’d recommend going for lunch to allow plenty of time for all the fun activities this place has to offer. Things like axe throwing, golf simulation, a Formula 1 Grand Prix Racing simulator, an arcade, a flight simulator, Meow Wolf's Omega Mart – which is an interactive, mind-bending art museum like –  and so much more.

For dinner, every casino on the strip has stellar dishes on their menus.

However, it’s best to pick a dinner spot that will have plenty of options to keep the fun rolling after you eat.

Enter Retro by Voltaggio at Mandalay Bay. Take a step back in time and let the wave of nostalgia hit you in this 80’s and 90’s themed restaurant. Family style dinner plates to share make this a fantastic spot for families and groups. We loved the VoltaggiO’s, a fresh take on the classic spaghetti o’s dish, and the Wagyu Beef Pot Roast.

After dinner, make the short walk past the gaming tables and up the escalator for the Fire & Ice Experience with Minus5 ICEBAR and 1923 Prohibition Bar.

Put a parka on and grab a cocktail inside a glass made of ice at the Minus5 ICEBAR. The extreme cold will serve as a great wake up call to keep your night going strong.

1923 Prohibition Bar is right next door and serves another way to continue a theme of stepping back in time. We loved the peanut butter jelly cocktail here and the live piano music and burlesque show made for a great atmosphere.

Big Thrills in Las Vegas

First and foremost, when you’re in Las Vegas you must see a show. Entertainment abounds throughout the city, and no trip to Vegas is complete without a thrilling night in a theater somewhere on the Strip.

If you’re looking for a variety of thrills, then Mad Apple by Cirque du Soleil at New York-New York Hotel & Casino is the show for you. Live music mixed with comedy mixed with high flying acrobatics from Cirque du Soleil performers all with a New York slant makes for an energetic and laugh out loud show.

The Sphere is brand new and definitely worth seeing in person. Live shows here are going to be out of this world.

But what could perhaps be the most thrilling experience in Las Vegas though isn’t in some theater or on the ground anywhere, rather it’s high in the sky.

Maverick Helicopters offers a plethora of helicopter flight tours for travelers to see the stunning sights of Las Vegas. A night-time flight over the Las Vegas strip provides guests with breathtaking views. The Sphere looks pretty epic from up there too we must say. It is based on weight, but try to request a seat up front if you can since that will provide the best overall views of Vegas.

Speaking of great views though, the Observation Deck and thrill rides at the STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower deliver some stellar sweeping views of the city.

The 1,149-foot-tall Observation Deck is tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States.

For those adventure lovers, the Big Shot, which shoots you 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour, X-Scream, which dangles you 27 feet over the edge of the will no doubt have your heart pumping and adrenaline racing. Then there’s also the SkyJump, where you’ll be leaping from 829 feet high above the Las Vegas Strip.

Last but not least, SlotZilla Zipline at the Freemont Street Experience is another terrific way to get your fix of big thrills in Las Vegas.
