In tandem with its 35th anniversary, Travel Experts will hold its fourth Summit aboard Seabourn Sojourn during a seven-night charter that departs from Dover, England, for Lisbon, Portugal, on Sept. 21, 2024.
“We’re excited about celebrating our 35th anniversary and our plans for Summit 4, which will bring suppliers and advisors together for a week of meetings and networking,” said Travel Experts Executive Director Sharon Fake.
“We will have limited space this time so we are urging everyone to register early to secure their place on board. Itinerary highlights include Le Havre (Paris); Cherbourg (Normandy); Bilbao, Spain; and Porto, Portugal.
The luxury host agency’s Summit 3 was held aboard Seabourn Ovation in late March 2023, with 160 advisors and 60 suppliers in attendance.
“Seabourn loves working with the Travel Experts’ team and advisors that have so much professional knowledge,” said Wendy Whitener, Seabourn’s director of national sales, who attended Summit 3.
“The Summit, as a charter, made it a special opportunity to network together and showcase the vessel at the same time.”
Other Travel Experts’ suppliers who attended Summit 3 were equally enthusiastic about Summit 4.
“The advisors are serious about their business. I am blown away by the amount of energy,” said Katie Gerhard, associate vice president of Azamara Cruises.
“I go to a lot of conferences and the beauty of this network is the quality of the advisors and the management. I now plan to attend the next summit.”
Added Virginia Irurita, founder of Made for Spain and Portugal: “Travel Experts' connection to their community is amazing. The advisors are very diverse. It helps increase our business.”
Similarly, Travel Experts’ advisors who participated in Summit 3 were equally thrilled at the prospect Summit 4.
“You can put 100 agents in a room, and ask them about their systems of doing business, and you will get 100 answers,” said Michelle Orr of Master Travel in New Canaan, Conn.
“We rarely get to collaborate and share our ideas. My colleagues always inspire me to do better and most are so generous with their ideas.”

Travel Experts was founded by Susan Ferrell in 1989 and now features upward of 500 high-producing luxury travel advisors.
