Royal Caribbean International unveiled details of Hideaway Beach, its first adults-only beach destination, which is situated on the northwest second of Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas – and set to open in January in conjunction with the debut of Icon of the Seas.
“The ultimate combination of thrill and chill that Perfect Day at CocoCay is known for has reached new heights with Hideaway Beach,” said Vicki Freed, Royal Caribbean’s senior vice president, sales, trade support & service.
“Our newest ships, Icon and Utopia of the Seas, will visit Perfect Day on short and long Caribbean sailings, and this is an amazing opportunity for travel partners to expand their reach for success.
“Their clients will be coming back for more to experience this one-of-a-kind island experience.”
Added Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley: “Hideaway Beach is a completely new vibe and experience that vacationers are looking for on Perfect Day at CocoCay.
“Everything from its hidden-like location to the exclusive beach and pools to the private cabanas is designed for adults who want a day just for them.”
In addition to a private beach, it will feature two pools poolside music via a DJ, 20 cabanas, loungers and umbrellas, seven al fresco bars and a variety of food options.
The Hideout, “a nook at one end of Hideaway Beach is just close enough to the buzz but carves out an exclusive, elevated experience,” Royal Caribbean said.
“In one of 10 Hideout Cabanas, those looking for a more VIP, chill vibe can kick back at a heated infinity plunge pool – exclusive to The Hideout guests – and enjoy the convenience of perks like cabana attendant service, in-water loungers, an outdoor shower and resort-style seating.”
Bars include On the Rocks, which will offer live music, TVs, games and a variety of cocktails such as frozen margaritas and Mai Tais; Hideaway Bar, a two-level swim-up bar; and two full-service Beach Bars set on either side of Hideaway Beach.
Food options include Slice of Paradise, serving pizza and items featuring a local twist, such as Bahamian guava barbecue chicken; and Snack Shack, offering chicken sandwiches, burgers, fried mozzarella sticks and salads.

In 2024, “travelers can have their pick from Royal Caribbean’s most expansive lineup of vacations visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay, thanks to a combination of 22 ships sailing from more than nine different cities like Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral (Orlando), Fla.; Cape Liberty (N.J.) and Galveston, Texas,” Royal Caribbean said.
