The new 1,200-passenger Vista, which debuted in May 2023, is Oceania Cruises’ seventh ship and its first newly built vessel in over 10 years.

It was well worth the wait. From the sparkling crystal pillar at the atrium’s Grand Staircase to the all-veranda accommodations, from the 11 dining venues (including three new ones) to the supremely comfortable Tranquility Mattress and linens, Vista elevates Oceania’s trademark foodie culture and upper premium ambiance to the next level amid luxe surroundings and excellent service.

Vista is much larger than the four 684-guest Regatta-Class ships and almost the same size as the Oceania-Class ships Marina and Riviera, while accommodating slightly fewer passengers. It incorporates more wellness offerings in addition to new culinary concepts. Sister ship Allura is expected to debut in spring 2025.

Here’s a summary of Vista’s features.

Accommodations

Vista has eight stateroom and suite categories. All accommodations feature complimentary soft drinks replenished daily in a mini-fridge, Bulgari amenities, 24-hour room service, twice-daily maid service, TV with on-demand movies, Wi-Fi, and cotton robes and slippers.

The popular Veranda Stateroom measures 291 square feet and has a queen-size Tranquility Bed with 1,000-thread-count linens, a sitting area, a teak balcony, and a bathroom with a spacious rainforest walk-in shower and vanity big enough for cosmetics and toiletries. The Concierge Level Veranda Stateroom comes with unlimited use of the Aquamar Spa Terrace, room service from The Grand Dining Room and free laundry services.

Six 270-square-foot Concierge Level Solo Veranda Staterooms are located on Deck 9 aft.

Vista, of course, features lavish suites, including the 14 Oceania Suites on Decks 11 and 12. They measure 1,000 to 1,200 square feet and have living and dining spaces, an oversized veranda, a king-size bed, marble bathroom, butler service and access to the suites-only Executive Lounge.

What's Included

Oceania’s new simplyMORE offer includes 2-for-1 cruise fares, free roundtrip airfare with airport transfers, shore excursion credits up to $1,600 per stateroom, alcoholic beverages, specialty dining and unlimited Wi-Fi.

What's for Dinner?

Vista’s new culinary venues include the wellness-focused Aquamar Kitchen, The Bakery at Baristas, and a signature restaurant, Ember. The ship does not have the Jacques Pépin signature bistro found on Marina and Riviera, although Pépin still serves as Oceania’s executive culinary director.

Ember, open for lunch and dinner, features American dishes such as braised short ribs, grilled swordfish with asparagus, crab cakes, porcinidusted bone-in ribeye and Cobb salad with smoked chicken.

Ember’s décor is reminiscent of a Napa or Sonoma tasting room, Oceania said, with artificial flame fireplaces increasingly found in cozy spots on newer cruise ships.

Aquamar Kitchen offers healthy, guilt-free food such as cold-pressed raw juices and super-food smoothies, avocado toast, organic power bowls, Yellowfin tacos with white cabbage slaw and a chicken sandwich on a freshly baked whole grain bun.

Hugely popular on Vista was Baristas, offering complimentary illy espressos, cappuccinos and lattes, and the new Bakery just steps away, serving freshly baked French and Italian pastries such as chocolate-almond croissants and bombolini.

Oceania signature venues include The Grand Dining Room, Polo Grill steakhouse, the Italian Toscana and Pan-Asian Red Ginger.
