MSC Cruises is replacing the Red Sea itineraries on the MSC Orchestra ship this winter with a new Mediterranean itinerary, sailing from December 16, 2023 to April 19, 2024 to avoid the conflict in Israel and Gaza.
The ship’s Red Sea itineraries had been canceled due to the close proximity to the conflict in Israel.
The MSC Orchestra will be sailing a round-trip 7-night itinerary from Valencia, Spain to Cagliari, Sardinia; Civitavecchia, Italy for Rome; Livornia for Pisa and Florence in Italy; Marseille, France; and Palma de Mallorca.
Last week, MSC Cruises also announced changes to several ships’ itineraries, including the MSC Armonia, MSC Opera, MSC Splendida, MSC Virtuosa and the MSC Sinfonia, which had its winter program canceled as its main draw was Haifa, Israel.
The announcement said that, “the safety of [MSC’s] passengers and crew is always its upmost priority and during an evolving situation it will continue to monitor the situation and modify ship itineraries if necessary.”
