The warmest months are from November to April, with temperatures ranging from mid-70 to mid-90°F(mid-20 to mid-30°C). During the cooler months of May to October, temperatures remain pleasant in the mid-70 to 80°F (around 20 to 26°C).
If you visit Fiji between November and April, you can expect the rainy season to bring heavy downpours. Fiji is susceptible to tropical storms and typhoons, mainly between January and March.
When To Visit Fiji
In our experience, the best time for visiting Fiji is between May and October. In this period, Fiji is sunny and warm, with less rain. However, June through September is the peak tourist season so it can get crowded and prices may be higher.
The months of April and May, as well as October and November, offer moderate weather and lower prices.
You can visit between November and April if you're looking for fewer people and a better deal. Note that this is the rainy season, so prepare for higher humidity and heavier rainfall.
- Mamanucas: This area offers a breathtaking blend of stunning turquoise waters, white sandy beaches and lush vegetation. There are a variety of water activities that you can partake in, such as snorkeling, diving, and kayaking. For adventure seekers, there is hiking a zip-lining. If you’re there for relaxation, treat yourself to a spa session at one of the wellness facilities.
- Suva: We believe Suva is a must-see destination in Fiji. The capital offers a look at Fiji’s rich history and vibrant culture. There are many attractions to experience, such as the Fiji Museum, the Municipal Handicraft Center, and the Suva Botanical Gardens.
- Pacific Harbor: Many visitors dive here for the guaranteed shark encounters. Note that you’ll need some scuba diving experience. There are also several cultural sites, such as the Orchis Island Cultural Village, where visitors can learn about Fijian traditions and customs.
