ALG Vacations Goes Big on Europe

ALG Vacations is expanding its European program after survey results pointed to increased interest in the region. 

In a 2023 survey conducted by the brand, 84 percent of advisors have seen rising demand for Europe during the last year, and 62 percent said their clients expect to spend $2,500 or more per person on their air and hotel. 

As one of the country's largest mass-market tour operators, ALGV has set a goal to become travel advisors' first call when it comes to Europe travel and it is growing its product line. 

The company has increased its focus on the lucrative market by adding more destinations for more multi-stop itinerary options and it has added more ways to travel to Europe, including favorites such as United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines and their codeshare partners as well as with Condor, Eurowings, and more.

ALG Vacations is also now offering more transportation options on the continent, including private and deluxe ground transfers, and rental cars through Hertz, Enterprise, and Alamo. 

Travelers can take advantage of ALGV's breadth of options in Europe with more than 500 tours for top attractions throughout France, the UK, Ireland, Amsterdam, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece that are now on sale in cooperation with Viator.

Even better, the company now offers more destination management services covering Switzerland, Bulgaria, Croatia, United Arab Emirates, the Maldives, and Corfu. In addition, there are more Hyatt Inclusive Collection Resorts available with more on the way. Right now, 34 are on sale and a total of 42 will be available for booking before the end of the year. 

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts' Inclusive Collection properties include popular and respected all-inclusive brands such as Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, Secrets Resorts & Spas and Dreams Resorts & Spas. Travelers who have experienced these brands in Mexico and the Caribbean can expect the same level of quality and experience in Europe.

“Our objective is to make ALG Vacations top-of-mind for advisors booking Europe by offering a diverse, competitively priced program with multi-stop itineraries and multiple transportation and tour options operated by the most reliable vendors,” said Jacki Marks, ALG Vacations’ Global Head of Trade Brands. “Between soliciting feedback from our BDMs and travel advisors as well as marketplace surveys, we’re proactively asking travel professionals what they want, and then taking action. We’ve recently enhanced our Europe policies and commission, added more advisor education, more marketing support, and dedicated Europe digital catalogs.”

ALGV’s Europe policy enhancements over the past year include:

•Full earned hotel commission: In addition to Travel Impressions (TI), Apple Vacations (AV), Funjet Vacations (FJ), and United Vacations® (UV) now pay full earned commission on ALL hotels in Europe.

•Low deposits: Only $250 down (reduced from $350) is required for United Vacations Europe bookings and $350* (instead of the full air cost) for Europe travel with AV, FJ, and TI.

•Travel Protection Plus: ALGV’s Travel Protection Plus policy for Europe now includes the Price Guarantee. (If the price of the hotel drops after the booking is confirmed, the reservation will be adjusted to the lower price upon request.)
