Jamaica is celebrating its 60th anniversary as a nation and travelers will certainly "feel the love."

ALG Vacations has put together a list of some of the top things to do for travelers experiencing Jamaica for the first time and it starts with the iconic Dunn's River Falls.

The 600-foot wonder is definitely a must. Destination management company Amstar offers the Blue Hole And Dunns River Falls experience which includes the falls as well as the chance to swim in the Blue Hole, a natural limestone sinkhole and mineral spring. Guests will also dine at the Mongoose Jamaica Restaurant and Lounge where they can choose from jerk chicken, steamed fish in coconut sauce, or sweet and sour tofu, all of which come with rice and peas, veggies, and a drink.

Reggae is an essential part of Jamaican culture and heritage and Bob Marley is a key figurehead. Amstar's Reggae and Culture tour starts at Marley's birth village of Nine Mile, taking guests through childhood home, which has been transformed into a museum and gallery. The tour takes a deep dive into the musical genre's roots and philosophies and includes a stop at a at a Rastafarian revival church. Lunch includes the island’s most famous chicken dish at the Jamaican Jerk Center.

Martha Brae Rafting is another must offered by Amstar. The slow ride down the Martha Brae River takes place on a bamboo float, giving visitors the chance to absorb the sights and sounds of nature in the hills of Trelawny, birthplace of Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt.

The Black River Safari, YS Falls, and Appleton Rum tour incorporates a lot of musts in Jamaica. The nine-hour tour includes a sail on the Black River past fishing villages and small towns and guests can spot exotic birds and crocodiles. Next is a visit to YS Falls to see seven cascades and several natural pools where guest can soak. The experience ends with a visit to Appleton Estates for rum tasting.

A visit to the famous Negril Beach for the sunset is the ideal way to cap off a Jamaican experience. In addition to the beautiful seven-mile long white-sand beach and blue seas, there are several iconic attractions here, including Rick’s Café where visitors can watch cliff divers, sip cocktails and admire the setting sun.
